Zoho Projects Available to Google Apps Users
Are you sad that Google Apps lacks a project manager with team collaboration tools? Well, it has one now. Courtesy of... the competition.
Zoho announced Zoho Projects for Google Apps, which takes the already existing Zoho to Google integration a step further, allowing you to embed Zoho Projects data not only in Google Apps, but also iGoogle, Gmail, and Google Sites pages. Google Calendar can be used to keep track of all milestones on in the project.
Zoho, of course, has it's own suite of office tools for word processing, presentation, and spreadsheets, but knows that the popularity of Google can't be ignored. It was actually using the Google Gears technology to allow offline access before Google built it into Google Docs/Apps.
To access if simply log into Zoho Projects using your Google Apps username/password. The free version of Zoho Project works with an unlimited number of users but only handles one project; you can manage 10 projects and add file sharing for $12 a month. Project has add-ons for a wiki and chatting. You can add one of each for free, but if you want more than one it will cost extra.
