Pick of the week: Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner 2 (PS2)

You have to give it to Atlus. While many publishers and developers have moved on to the current generation of consoles, Atlus continues to give the PlayStation 2 plenty of JRPG love. And if you've made your way through the previous MegaTen game to hit the console—last year's Persona 4—then Atlus has the perfect game to move on to: Devil Summoner 2. Like most games in the SMT franchise, DS2 is a very dark and moody experience. But it also differentiates itself with a historical 1920's setting and much more action-heavy combat. Plus, the special edition comes with this plushie.

Other games of note this week: the console versions of the action RPG Sacred 2; the incredibly addictive Desktop Tower Defense makes its way to the Nintendo DS; and Civilization IV gets bundled with all of its expansions for a Complete Edition. Hit the jump for the complete list.
